The Poetry Centre is part of the English and Modern Languages Department at Oxford Brookes University.

It has four aims:

• to produce research into C20th and C21st poetry
• to promote poetry in the local community
• to encourage connections between poets, academics, and readers of poetry
• to create space for discussion of issues surrounding C20th and C21st poetry
