How do I apply for Accommodation?
The University has Halls of Residence and other accommodation for its students. However, this is not allocated automatically to everyone who has an offer of a place - you have to apply for it individually and there is no guarantee that you will be offered University accommodation.
Information about Halls:
In the Spring of the year of your arrival, some information will be sent to you by the Admissions Office which tells you about the accommodation available. You can also get an idea of what the accommodation is like and the costs involved by looking at the Accommodation Office webpage.
Applying for Halls:
You will be sent information about applying for Halls. You will be able to apply on-line or by post. Contact the Accommodation Office for more details

People with Conditional Offers:
If you apply for Halls when you have a conditional offer, then you need to have met the conditions by the end of the August of your year of starting the course. You will also need to confirm to the Accommodation Office by this date that your offer is now unconditional and that you are still interested in accommodation.
Allocation of Halls:
There are two allocations made for Halls each year, in May and August. You will not receive information about any room that you have been allocated until after these draws.
Private accommodation:
if you are unsuccessful in the draw or would rather not live in University accommodation then there is plenty of privately rented accommodation in Oxford. The Accommodation Office can advise you about how to find something to suit you.
