At Brookes you can study many of the subjects that traditionally make up the arts and humanities - English, Fine Art, History, History of Art, Modern Languages, Film Studies and Music - but we also offer subjects that are not available in other universities. The School is one of the most important centres of education in Publishing, not only in the UK, but internationally, and our history department is internationally recognised as a centre for research and teaching in the History of Medicine.

Teaching assessments carried out by the Quality Assurance Agency awarded Fine Art and History of Art 23 out 24, French, Italian and Spanish 22 out of 24, and Publishing 21 out of 24.
